Our cause

A sick child turns the whole family's life upside down. To truly understand the impact of our actions, it's important to consider the reality of those we're supporting. To heal, children need the best care, adapted equipment, and cozy spaces in which they can be comforted by loved ones.

That's why we're here.

Every year, in Quebec...

  • 200,000+visits to pediatric emergency departments
  • 55,000+pediatric hospitalizations
  • 75 000 births every year (approximately)

For a healthy pediatric future

Helping grownups improve young lives

We're constantly attentive to the needs expressed by the healthcare community. We're here to help those who care for our children's well-being, to make their care journey a little easier and to help them take another step towards a radiantly healthy childhood.

Encouraging excellence and innovation

Medicine is always evolving, and medical teams are never short of ideas to better meet the needs of their patients. By helping them access the latest technologies and giving them a helping hand, we can ensure that children have access to the most advanced care.

Providing local care

Many children have to travel hundreds of kilometres several times a month to receive treatment. Thanks to the various projects we have funded, care closer to home makes their lives a little easier while giving them more time to play freely.

Supporting medical teams

Medical personnel deserve our support, too. They are essential to the well-being of the healthcare system and that of our children. We're happy to contribute by funding modern, safe equipment that helps these professionals and makes their day-to-day work easier.

More time playing, less time in treatment

Thanks to specialized care available regionally

Little Chloé had severe food allergies that nearly cost her her life. To be able to eat freely one day, she had to undergo desensitization, a solution only available in Montreal, nearly two hours from her home in the Eastern Townships. Her family wondered if she would be able to endure the many trips back and forth. Fortunately, in May 2021, the Enfant Soleil oral immunotherapy clinic opened in Sherbrooke, enabling Chloé—and other children like her—to receive treatment close to home.

More space for specialized care

Thanks to an improved pediatric unit

Until very recently, if the condition of a child in Gatineau deteriorated, he or she had to be transferred to another facility, either in Montreal or Ottawa. To enable young patients to stay in their region, the Hôpital de Gatineau made major changes to its pediatric unit. This extensive work has contributed to the development of the Intermediate Care Unit, which can accommodate four children who require specialist care at the same time, as well as providing more specialized equipment for greater monitoring. Intermediate care helps to stabilize the condition of children in emergency situations and avoid transfers to another hospital.

Respite for exhausted parents

With a service that makes life easier for families

Milo has a neuromuscular disorder, but doctors still don't know the exact cause. His parents had to juggle work, their other two children and countless medical appointments. It was a lot to manage. That's where the Montreal Children's Hospital's CONCI Service came in. This service takes charge of coordinating medical follow-ups and appointments, giving families like Milo's a bit of a break.

Support that goes a long way

Every year, our projects help improve every aspect of pediatric care in Quebec, in every corner of the province. Small miracles that change the lives of sick children.

A partnership that shines in outlying regions

We are delighted to be working on a number of exciting projects in Quebec’s various regions with the Ministry of Health and Social Services. Through this partnership, we are able to facilitate the acquisition of vital equipment that enables newborn babies to be cared for close to their families or to be repatriated home.

Every donation sparks hope

Donations, draws, and events: we are stepping up our fundraising activities to be able to offer our children as much hope as possible. And it's thanks to your generosity that we're able to do so.
