Everything you need to know
How it works
The Extra Life movement was created in 2008 to honour Victoria Enmon, a 15-year-old who lost her long battle with leukemia. Since then, thousands of gaming enthusiasts have come together each year to improve care for sick children.
- Where
It’s a 100% online event. You can participate from wherever you want: home, work, a friend’s place, or even a café. You decide!
- When
The national Extra Life day is on November 1, 2025, but you can take on the challenge whenever you choose.
- Who
Everyone can participate! Alone or in a group, with colleagues or friends, serious gamers, casual gamers and beginners.
- How
Extra Life is a gaming marathon, with gamers coming together to play and raise funds that will directly help improve care for sick children. By inviting your friends to support you, you can encourage them to donate while you play your favourite games.
Extra life in a few steps
Set a fundraising goal on your profile and kick things off by making the first donation yourself! Not only does this directly support the cause, but it will also motivate your friends and family to follow your lead. An empty fundraising page just isn't as inspiring!
Invite your followers to support you, tag Enfant Soleil, and mention that donations of $20 or more are eligible for a tax receipt!
- Talk about the cause during your stream. It will encourage people to donate and help you reach your goal.
- Mention what motivated you to participate in this campaign.
- Use the "impact" video clips provided and share them during your stream. They clearly show what Enfant Soleil does.
- Thank your donors (during and after your challenge). A simple thank you is always heartwarming and encourages them to give again.
