Opération Enfant Soleil is evolving: discover Enfant Soleil!

A new identity beyond a single Operation

Today, the organization announces a major milestone in its journey: Opération Enfant Soleil becomes Enfant Soleil. More than just a name change, this evolution of the brand platform modernizes the organization's image to better reflect its mission and impact. This evolution is launched through a new awareness campaign to continue to mobilize all of Quebec to the cause and support the pediatric ecosystem with the same vigor and determination. 

In its beginning, the Telethon was the organization's sole operation. Today, Enfant Soleil multiplies its initiatives throughout the year, engaging all of Quebec in support of children’s health. While its image is evolving, its mission remains the same: to mobilize the entire Quebec population so that our children have access to the best in health care, across the province, by supporting the hospitals and organizations dedicated to their care. This brand platform overhaul allows us to continue building on our 38-year legacy, while modernizing ourselves to resonate with new generations of donors, thus ensuring the continuity of our mission.

This brand platform evolution expresses our DNA, who we are today as well as our vision for the future," explains Jonathan Gendron, President and CEO of Enfant Soleil. "Our mission remains the same. This renewal will allow us to enthusiastically continue the work we've accomplished over the years and ensure a lasting impact for the thousands of children, their families and the medical teams we support every year." 

 

A campaign full of hope

To mark this turning point, Enfant Soleil is launching a new awareness campaign in collaboration with LG2: "Du beau à l’horizon" (Beautiful things on the horizon). Set to the musical track "Ellipse" by Alexandra Stréliski, little Martin takes us with him into the reality of children discovering that illness is not made for children, that it’s complicated, painful and sometimes even prevents hugs... but that there is hope. Through this deeply moving message, Enfant Soleil reaffirms its mission to mobilize the Quebec population so that every child may have access to the best healthcare available. The tagline "Du beau à l'horizon" highlights how supporting hospitals and organizations generates hope not only for sick children and their families but also for the medical teams caring for them. 

"It's hard to describe everything Enfant Soleil does in one line because it goes far beyond care or equipment donations. As we researched hospital care, we noticed that nothing in the world of illness seems to be made for children, whether it's the complicated words, the childproof caps on pill bottles, or just the fact that it hurts. So, we brought this idea to life from a child's point of view to describe in the simplest possible way the role of Enfant Soleil: to help provide care designed for children," Marc-André Lafrance, Copywriter at LG2.
