This year, Enfant Soleil is donating more than $196,500 in Centre-du-Québec to improve the care and overall health of children in the area. It supports over a hundred healthcare establishments across the province, in addition to giving vital support to the four major pediatric centres, which provide specialized and superspecialized care to all children who need it.
Découvrez the projects funded this year.
Adapted rooms and equipment for local pediatric care
Optimization and revitalization of examination and treatment rooms
Creation of dedicated spaces for follow-up adapted to the needs of children and teenagers with global developmental delays, physical or intellectual disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
*Project carried out in collaboration with the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux.
Video laryngoscope
Adapted to children’s size and designed to minimize their discomfort and anxiety, the video laryngoscope will enable a thorough examination of the inside of the throat, nose and larynx, thanks to a camera that facilitates the intubation process.
Multifunctional stimulation room
Adapted to the needs of children with developmental delays, this room will offer them learning activities based on everyday situations to promote their autonomy and overall development.
*Project carried out in collaboration with the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux.
Hydraulic pool lift
Thanks to this lift, the centre’s pool will become accessible to all children, offering those with physical, intellectual and sensory disabilities the opportunity to participate in water activities in complete safety.
**Projects financed through the Sport and Sustainable Health Fund, which aims to promote and support healthy lifestyle habits in children through sports, physical activity and healthy eating while also fostering emotional and mental well-being.
10 outdoor bikes
More than 500 young children attending the school will be able to move around safely thanks to these new bikes.

Spotlight on two major projects coming soon
Hôpital Sainte-Croix
The new pediatric clinic* at Hôpital Sainte-Croix will significantly enhance the services and care available to the region’s youngest patients. The project, which received a contribution of $260,000 will be inaugurated shortly. It includes the construction of an observation area and examination rooms. These will be equipped with equipment vital to the care teams and will promote better care for children. This new environment will enable children to receive the best care while remaining in the region, close to their families.
Hôtel-Dieu d’Arthabaska – Contribution of $555,190*
Hôtel-Dieu d’Arthabaska is about to embark on a major project: a completely refurbished pediatric unit will enhance the comfort and experience of the children who have to be admitted. The project, to be inaugurated in the coming year, will include the expansion of the isolation room and the creation of a treatment room and nursing station.
This new unit will offer:
- A pleasant and soothing environment adapted to young patients;
- Optimized access to pediatric outpatient services in the region, reducing the length of hospital stays;
- A walk-in service;
- Access to a local service for families who won’t have to travel to another region to receive specialized care.

Logan Fortier, Centre-du-Québec’s Enfant Soleil
He and his family help the cause shine in their region.
Logan is an eight-year-old boy living with hereditary spherocytosis, a genetic disease that affects his red blood cells and weakens his immune system. From birth, he needed several blood transfusions and had frequent infections. Every time he came down with a fever, he had to go to hospital to avoid complications. He finally underwent spleen surgery in the fall of 2024 to keep him from requiring repeated transfusions. Despite all this, Logan remains an energetic child who loves to sing and play guitar. He takes medication to prevent infections and has regular check-ups with his hematologist.
